I don’t know which update it was that slowed the app down so much for me, but it runs about 45 seconds behind on notifications and takes about that long to open the app and view live. I have restarted cameras and my phone, and I have tried WiFi and cellular only with no changes. I used to really like how everything worked but this recent slow down is rough.

I honestly think this app is good and all but there are some major defects like 1. When it updates you can’t look at the live view till after the update is done and the update takes forever And the 2nd thing I have a problem with is that everything is sooo expensive, 3 would have to be you can’t sign up for a subscription on your phone and have to specifically don it on the computer and number 4 would be that this is over hyped. Is good to know what type of stuff is happening around you.

My son car window may not have broken if I didn’t have to wait on live view before I could activate the siren. Also, when you are away the ring is only as good as the cell service where you are

I’ll be moving to another ecosystem after todays final straw. The perimeter function has never worked, and the ring app has always been slow to load, so much so that I can get downstairs to my front door to answer it in person before the camera ever loads. Finally today I went to check my doorbell after having a knock on the door but no notification, and found that I had been logged completely out of the app and on logging back in, have to set up my location and all of my devices again - they’re all gone. Ring has completely lost the thread here, the only thing I want to do is see who is at the door when the doorbell rings. There is no point in time where I want to be logged out “for security”, and absolutely no acceptable reason for me to have to set my devices back up periodically.

I got into Ring about five years ago. The app was fast and the cameras were great. Since then I have invested a lot into Ring and Eero. I have over a dozen cameras, the security system, lights, accessories, and more. The app I feel has gotten a lot slower over the years. I suddenly have RSSI issues with my brand new Spotlight Pro cameras that never had issues until the summer. The app also is being overrun with ads no matter how many times you clear them. I really want to like Ring and Eero, but the slowness and issues in software are plaguing both systems. I just did a major upgrade on both systems in the last two years, but when I’m due to upgrade again in the next five years or so, I may be looking into a new ecosystem like Ubiquiti if these same issues remain.

This last update has totally ruined RING’s usefulness for safety & security!! It’s amazing that so many people & customers are literally now in “in the dark” with getting important photos or feedback in their Alerts 🔔 with their RING Doorbell Cameras!! Please FIX this totally Buggy software update, it’s is totally becoming a useless & unreliable device under its current format. 🙏Please rectify this ASAP, or I will be looking for a new service for my home’s security & functionality😤
