Missing “cart” button
The checkout bag button towards the bottom of the screen disappears and I can’t get it back. Making it impossible to submit an order. It’s happens randomly so I have no idea how to avoid this problem. It’s happened on my iPhone XS and my friends folding galaxy phone.

This app is horrible now. Not only is it impossible to cancel orders or reach quality customer service, but now you can’t even place orders through the app.

The app is okay, until you want a delivery
This app works perfectly fine when you’re using it for pickup or drivethru, but mcdelivery doesn’t work. Every. Single. Time. It’s not worth getting your account charged for an order that gets cancelled 20 minutes after you placed it. Just use DoorDash. DoorDash will actually refund you if an order doesn’t go through. If you value your money, use DoorDash for delivery

New bugs are horrendous
I’ve used this app for years and loved it. Always tell everyone to use it because the deals are great and it was way easier to enter the order in the app vs. getting a Mcdonalds employee to understand what you want and having them do the equivalent of entering it in the app. Cut out the middle man, right? Ok. All good. The most recent update broke something in a big way. On my wife’s phone it can’t find any stores. Not by location, not by zip code. Just “no nearby stores found.” She is using iOS 15 but if that’s the issue then just make the app incompatible. But the really fun one is my iphone SE 3rd gen running ios 16: The cart doesn’t show up. At all. White bar at the bottom where the cart used to be. Relaunching the app doesn’t fix it. I once got it to show by switching to a different store but that hasn’t worked again. Without the cart there I can’t actually submit my order in the app. I have found ONE reliable workaround: delete the app and reinstall it. This has been a nearly daily task (I go to McD a lot) and chews up quite a bit of 5g data. I’m on the app store today hoping for an update…nope. It’s been like this at least two weeks. Hopefully it’s fixed soon or else this formerly super useful and convenient app will be off my phone.
